2 Corinthians 1:21 “He which stablisheth us with you in Christ . . . is God.”

Psalm 138:8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”

Phil. 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

1 Cor. 1:9 “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”

All of this is within your reach. God establishes you in Jesus. Believing this will not only give you comfort, it will also be the means of obtaining your desire.

Listen to what the Word of God teaches: Deut. 28:9 “The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.” 2 Chron. 9:8 “Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, [to be] king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.” Rom. 16:25, 27 “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.” 1 Thess. 3:13 “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.” 2 Thess. 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” 1 Peter 5:10 “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

You have to admit that such a life of trust must be a blessed one. Perhaps there are some times when you consent to living like this with your whole heart but for some reason it does not last. Instead of starting each day by joyously giving everything to the care of the Father, you try to do it yourself. God has even said that He will provide the memory that you need to surrender to Him daily. John 14:26 Jesus said “He shall . . . bring all things to your remembrance.” 2 Cor. 1:21-22 “He which stablisheth us with you in Christ . . . is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

Apply this to the promise of the text: “He which stablisheth us . . . in Christ . . . is God.” Stop worrying about your spiritual growth and accept the fact that God alone has charge of it all. Ask Him and trust Him to remind you of your relationship to Him. He will do it, Each day God will enable you to remember His promises and your acts of faith, and every morning your faith will grow stronger brighter.

What more could you want? Confidently expect it, ask fervently. Count on God to do His work. Rom. 16:25, 27 “Now to him that is of power to stablish you . . . be glory . . . forever. Amen.”
