IMPACTING Families with HOPE

Veteran Millie Freeman’s Home part 1

On July 5th and 6th, Warrior Family Ministries partnered with Team Home Depot to give Vietnam Veteran Millie Freeman a “facelift” for her home and to add a much needed deck and ramp. This is the first of a 2 part project that will be completed in September. Ashley Furniture, Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington, NC donated a new recliner for our Veteran and Chick-fil-A on Oleander Drive, Wilmington furnished some much needed lunch for everyone. Jimmy Wooten, a Vietnam Veteran who also gives back by making walking canes for our Veterans with special in-laid handles presented Millie with a Purple Heart cane.

Warrior Family’s AT EASE program’s goal is to create a safe, calm environment for our Veterans and their families to come home too. We do this by partnering with other resources and raising the funds needed.

Warrior Family Ministries would also like to thank NSDAR-Wilmington Ladies Tea Walk Chapter for assisting us with our Home Depot grant writing.
