The One Who Loves You

The One Who Loves You

1 Cor. 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath seen, not ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”

Many times people get all stirred up at a meeting and they consecrate themselves to God, but after a week or a month, it fades away, and then it is all gone. Please pay attention to what I am saying and reminding you of: when God has begun the work of surrender in you, and when God has accepted your surrender, then God is bound to care for it and to keep it! Believe that! There is only two people involved in the matter of surrender; yourself and the everlasting, omnipotent God Himself.  God is willing to accept and maintain your surrender to Him, do not be afraid to trust yourself to almighty God. He is willing and He will keep you continually, day by day, moment by moment! “Moment by moment I’m kept in His love; Moment by moment I have life from above.”

Just think about it, God allows the sun to shine on you moment by moment without fail; will God not let His life shine on you every moment? If you are not experiencing this, it is because you have not trusted God for it, and you have not surrendered yourself to God in that trust.

A life of surrender has its difficulties, I am not saying it doesn’t. But it has something more than difficulties: it is a life that is absolutely impossible with men. By the grace of god, by the power of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, it is a life to which we are destined, and it is a life that is possible for us, praise God! Let us believe that God will maintain it for us.

On his 90th birthday George Muller said there was two reasons for his happiness and all the blessings God had given him: one was that he had been enabled by the grace of God to maintain a good conscience before God day by day; the other was the he loved the Word of God. A good conscience is complete obedience to God day by day, and fellowship with God every day in His Word, and in prayer – this a life of complete surrender. There is two sides to this life – on one side there is absolute surrender to work what God wants you to do; on the other side, to let God do what He wants to do.

To do what God wants you to do means that you know something about God’s will. You know something of God’s will, but not enough. But if you sincerely say to the Lord: “By Your grace I desire to do Your will in everything, every moment of the day. Lord, not a word on my tongue that does not glorify You; Lord, not a bit of my temper that does not glorify You; Lord, no affection of love or hate that does not glorify You, Lord, everything according to Your will!”

Do you really think this is possible? What has God promised you, God will fulfill? God wants to bless you far beyond what you expect. “From the beginning, ear hath not heard, neither hath eye seen what God hath prepared for them that wait for Him.” God has prepared unheard of things, blessings far more wonderful than you could ever imagine, mightier than you could ever dream. They are divine blessings! “I give myself absolutely to God, to do only what He wants.” It is God that will enable you to carry out the surrender!

On the other side. Come and say: “I give myself completely to God, to let Him work in me to will and to do of His good pleasure, as He has promised to do.” It is a fact that the living God wants to work in His children in a way that we cannot understand, but that God’s Word has revealed, and He wants to work in us every moment of the day. God is willing to maintain our life, let your surrender be one of simple, childlike, unbounded trust!
