Praying For Others

James 5:16 “Pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” Have you ever wondered why God would call you to pray for another person? James 5:16 says “Pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” We have been talking about your walk with the Father and here we shift gears a little as we talk about…

Walk In The Spirit

Psalm 25:14 “The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant.” All of this becomes real to you as you obey the initial promptings of the Holy Spirit. As you do, the voice of God becomes stronger and more prevalent in your life. You begin to see spiritual realities that only a person that is in constant communion with the Father can see (Ps. 25:14). Elisha was the kind of…

Fellowship with Jesus – Devotional

Isaiah 27:2-3 “In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it day and night.” The second objection that we hear quite often has to do with our sinfulness. Christians are so used to looking at sinning as something that we do daily because it is inevitable that we cannot keep up an abiding fellowship with Jesus, so…

Moment to Moment – Devotional

2 Cor. 6:2 “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” To everyone that wants to learn the art of living moment to moment, I want to say: the way to learn it is to exercise yourself in living in the present moment. Every time your attention is free to occupy yourself with the thought of Jesus, whether it is with time to think and pray, or just for a few minutes, let your first…

Established – Devotional

2 Corinthians 1:21 “He which stablisheth us with you in Christ . . . is God.” Psalm 138:8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” Phil. 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” 1 Cor. 1:9 “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the…

Righteousness – Devotional

1 Corinthians 1:30 “Of God are ye in Christ Jesus who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.” The first of the great blessings that Jesus our wisdom reveals to us in Himself is righteousness. It is not hard to see why this has to be the first. There can be no real prosperity or progress in a nation, a home, or a soul unless there is peace. Sin had disturbed our all our…

Abide – Devotional

1 Cor. 1:30 “Of God are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.” John 15:1 “My Father is the husbandman.” “You are in Christ Jesus.” If you are to abide in Christ Jesus, you must be clear about being in Christ. There has to be a daily renewal through faith “I am in Christ Jesus.” There was an additional thought here that Paul wanted us to see: “Of God…

Re-Post January 4, 2015 – AWARENESS

I came across this today (December 16, 2018) as I was working on the site. As you can see it was written 3 years ago. This word still excites and encourages me. Enjoy a blast from the past as we look forward to the New Year. My word for this year is AWARENESS and how it will relate to the mission for Warrior Family Ministries, “An assignment of IMPACT and HOPE to families.” Over the next several weeks we will…

P.T.S.D. Support Groups

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has taken over the lives of our military and veterans.  The intent of this group is to provide a safe environment for our heroes to share their experiences and come to understand they are not alone. WFM will be providing training for our facilitators and our hope is to have a group in any community where it is needed. What makes this generation of protectors different than any other generation? Time and frequency of deployments. Since…
