Today is day 9 of our 60 days of prayer for our Kentucky event. For today I would ask that you continue to focus on each day’s topic but also continue the previous days’ prayer needs. Remember, Warriors are needed. We will be in enemy territory, bringing the Light to the dark. We need seasoned Warriors, those who are bold, ready to face what comes our way and who know that the fight begins on our knees.
Day 9. The Heart of a Warrior. Webster’s meaning; a person engaged or experienced in warfare. Tibetan Buddhism defines it this way, one who combats the universal enemy. In Christianity the word Warrior is used 66 times in the Bible to describe God’s Army. In Exodus, it evens calls the Lord Warrior (The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name). It is an honor to carry the name Warrior. As WFM Chaplains, we need to remember this. I duty, assignment is to “build an Army of Chaplains who will impact the nation.” I don’t take that lightly and if you are called you shouldn’t either. Sitting on the sidelines, polishing your Armor is no longer accepted. We are living in very dangerous times. We are being mobilized, set apart, and given orders by our Commander and Chief. What sets us apart, makes us unique is our heart. Your heart belongs to Him – Jesus Christ. We fight differently. Our weapons are tried and tested. We know who our enemy is and the strategies he will use to steal, kill and destroy. We understand the meaning of loyalty, honor, respect and obedience. We know the cost and especially the sacrifice it takes to be called Warrior.
As we look at our mission to deploy to Kentucky in October, whether you are part of the main body (boots on the ground) or part of the rear detachment (you have our backs back home), we are one – unity by our core belief, ready to face the enemy, ready to stand and never retreat. Our united battle cry comes from our gut, our soul, our spirit. Are you ready?
